2071年，極東，這裡是荒神統治的領域。2050年代初，突然出現的未知生命體「神諭細胞」開始捕食地球上的各種對象。將一切吞食殆盡，身為凶暴的生命體完成了多樣變化的這一存在，不知何時開始被人們心懷畏懼地稱作「荒神」。 現有的兵器在荒神面前毫無效果，都市文明崩壞，人類的生命圈逐漸被奪走。此時，一線光明照向人類。埋入神諭細胞的生體兵器「神機」被開發出來，操縱它們的特殊部隊，通稱「噬神者」也被編成。凶暴的諸神肆虐的世界中，「吞噬神之人」的無望之戰揭開帷幕——。
