Referred to as "Monkey with glasses" by Kyosuke Kanou, he is the manager of the Akanegaoka High football club. Upon seeing Kyosuke's football potention, he, along with Miki forced him to join the club. He used to play while he was in middle school, but stopped after an injury. Despite this, he still loves football with a passion. He uses glasses during the first episodes, but later he changes to contacts. Despite this, Kyosuke keeps calling him "Glasses Monkey"
