Marcello is a character of the day who appeared in <i>Moving Pictures (EP189)</i>. He lives with his wife Sophia at the Sunflora Lodge, which they operate together. Marcello and Sophia married 50 years ago and took a picture with hundreds of Sunflora. They continued this tradition for the next 49 wedding anniversaries. On their 50th anniversary, however, the weather was particularly cold and the Sunflora never appeared at the usual south slope location. Ash was able to use his Sun Stone that he won as a prize in the Bug-Catching Contest to evolve a recently rescued Sunkern into a Sunflora.
