He starts the series with four pokemon: Shinx (nicknamed Lin), Chimchar, (nicknamed Hikoza), Piplup (nicknamed Chacha) and Turtwig (nicknamed Nanae). He joins the team formed by Mr Crow alongside Soro and Toki.
