She works alongside Fujiwara no Michinaga and Katsuragi, the latter of whom took her under his protection after Itsuki's family died seven years prior, and trains her as his successor. Itsuki is nicknamed <i>Ayanashi no Kimi</i> by the nobles of the city and regarded with fear by them. As the extent of her purification ability is unknown, Katsuragi forbids her to kiss any living person.
