Norne is a playable character exclusive to Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem. She is a volunteer from Altea that joins Marth's cause. Norne hails from a small village near Altea Castle, also close by to Sera village where Kris grew up. She used to see them when they would carry firewood over the mountain to Norne's village, where Kris gained awe for their deliveries at such a young age, and played with Norne and the other children. One day, Norne became hopelessly lost in the forest and began to cry. Kris eventually came looking for her and comforted Norne, telling her of their aspiration to become a knight until adults came to rescue them. Kris told her of their aspiration to become a knight.
