Mikoto Ochiai is a second year high-school student and the protagonist of Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyoushi. Despite her unassuming poker face, she actually tried to jump off of the school's roof in the very first chapter, due to a mixture of being heartbroken and the following embarrassment. Before she can jump off, her physics' teacher Jin Haiba finds and engages her in a conversation, ending their dialogue with the request that she might as well fall in love with him before she dies. Their relationship is quite the dynamic one, with love coming from both sides, but their complicated standing on the other side. They love to tease each other, and their day-to-day life is filled with witty banter and jokes.
