Previously an assistant along with Genya to the five scientists at Bashtarlle, he is one of the few survivors of the tragedy and was left to believe that both Genya and Dr. Franken von Fogler died when the experiment went wrong. The memory of that tragedy haunts him throughout the story as he tries to figure out and come to terms with what really happened 10 years ago. As an expert of the IPO he serves as their primary expert on the Shizuma technology and he also happens to be very handy with battle fans.
